In this role the Corporate Director of Vitality will be responsible for leading, directing and managing all aspects of the Vitality Division, working with the Community Directors of Vitality planning and coordinating comprehensive, diversified education programs to include development and implementation of various activities and promotional events within and outside the walls of the communities.

In addition, as CDOV, GenCare counts on your experiences to work with the Corporate Marketing Director, the Director of Operations, and the President to further develop the Whole Life Living and Vitality concept with creative outbound marketing, Public/Community relations plans.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following:
Confer with directors, company representatives, education/training partnerships to determine Vitality Programming needs ensuring communications are effective, clear, organized, timely, and complete. Primary goal is to always maintain a sense of community.
Serve as the primary driver of programs that create a wholesome, healthy, purposeful life for our residents. Ensure that GenCare provides a range of activities that encourages participation for all skill, fitness, and cognitive levels.
Analyze, plan and coordinate Whole Life Living offerings to support sales initiatives with the expectation of increasing census at all communities.
Develop plans and goals to increase participation in Stay Sharp Centers, purpose, and Vitality programs identifying tracking and measuring protocol that can translate into “Special Interest” stories to serve as recruiting tools to increase residents throughout GenCare communities.
Investigate and develop “Value Added” programming that attracts new residents with the expectation of increased community costs.
Responsible for suggesting methods to improve Vitality area operations, processes, efficiency, and services to residents.
Assist in managing the budgets associated with Whole Living Concepts to ensure compliance with organizational and expenditure requirements with the expectation of meeting or exceeding fiscal requirements.
Represent the organization at various community and/or meetings, and tradeshow events; promote existing and new Vitality Initiatives and Whole Living Concepts-always providing a positive and professional representation.
Act as point person for business relations i.e. Techno Gym /Trainer Group in order to ensure accountability and identify key areas of common interest.
Review, analyze and provide recommendations and areas of opportunity to improve (positively leverage) existing strategic partnerships.
Investigate and identify future strategic partnerships for Management to review with the expectation of providing benefit to the organization as a whole.
Attend meetings and seminars to obtain information useful to ongoing training of staff and to inform management of innovative education and activities offerings for the future.
Develop and organize training manuals and procedure guides as needed with the assistance of key directors.
Provide ongoing communications with employees conducting quarterly mini reviews and meetings concerning performance, productivity and accountability.
Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment in order to facilitate positive employee morale, productivity and continued support.

Skills & Qualifications:
Five or more years experience in the Health/Wellness activity field, Fitness industry management, or educational background in recreational, educational, or senior activity programs.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Strong organizational and management skills with a Self-Starter approach always promoting team spirit in the workplace.
Highly driven and self-motivated personality who shows perseverance and overcomes objections to achieve company targets in a results-oriented environment.
Experience working with Public Relations and/or high level Marketing Firms focused on Brand development and awareness is extremely helpful.
Ability to troubleshoot and manage challenges in a fast paced work environment
Ability to travel as needed to GenCare communities with reliable transportation
Available to work on special projects and travel accordingly to events that may fall on the weekends
Business Development experience and working with strategic partnerships and accounts helpful.
Proficient in Microsoft office, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Publisher and other customer management databases.
Proficient public speaking skills.
