Pacific Retirement Services, Inc. (PRS), a not-for-profit comprehensive senior care organization located in Medford, Oregon, seeks an authentic, values-driven, and exceptional leader to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

As a national not-for-profit leader in the senior living and healthcare industry, PRS’ mission is “to empower people to lead meaningful lives as they age.” This has driven PRS to develop, build, and operate first-class retirement communities in some of the best locations nationally. From urban settings in downtown Portland, Seattle, and Fort Worth to vibrant university towns like Tempe, Eugene, Albuquerque, Davis, and Madison, PRS’ communities attract exceptional residents who want to remain active and engaged. PRS also delivers on its mission by providing safe, secure housing to low-income seniors, as well as overseeing a thriving network of older adult volunteers who provide much needed support to vulnerable populations throughout southern Oregon.

With revenues, both owned and managed of $400 million, 14 Life Plan Communities and 25 affordable housing communities, PRS is in an active growth mode through mergers and acquisitions, most recently by affiliating with a group of communities formerly managed by the Haverland Carter Lifestyle Group, which added $50 million in revenues, and $200 million in assets. Because of its significant growth over the last two decades, PRS now faces the critical challenge of advancing its organizational maturity and growth while navigating a rapidly changing competitive landscape. The future leader must enhance PRS’ capabilities and leverage its scale to ensure long-term success and sustainability. This includes refining core operations, systems, and processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation while also positioning the organization for success as it moves forward.

Working closely with the other members of PRS’ leadership team, the CEO reports to PRS’ Board of Directors and is responsible for leading PRS’ strategic and growth objectives, ensuring that the organization’s objectives are aligned with its mission and vision. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors to conceive and implement PRS’ future vision.

The CEO will be a highly engaged and visible leader at all of PRS’ owned and managed communities. The new leader will emphasize the importance of driving financial and performance fundamentals and a results-oriented approach, while fostering innovation, growth, collaboration, creativity, and service excellence. Enhancing current performance to drive sustainability across the organization will be a key deliverable for the role.

This position requires significant travel on a regular basis. When not traveling, the new CEO will work from the corporate office and must reside in the Rogue Valley.

PRS’ next CEO will be an innovative, transparent, and strategic leader. The ideal candidate will have exceptional business acumen, and a proven track record of execution gained in a complex senior living, housing, or healthcare environment. A Master’s degree in business, healthcare or related discipline is preferred.
