Tacoma Lutheran Retirement Community is currently hiring Nursing Assistants for Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Areas

Skilled Nursing: Full Time and On-Call Positions are available for Day and NOC shifts (12 hour shifts)

Assisted Living: Full Time Day Shifts available (8 hour shift from 6 am- 2 pm)

*Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in Washington state Required*

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA/NAC) of all ages and levels of work experience find their home here with us. Our NACs are “front-line” workers — You spend the most time with the residents and your detailed level of care and compassion can make or break someone’s day! You not only help people recover from physical injuries or illnesses, but you help care for the whole person; mind, body and soul!

Our ideal employee …
• Gives detailed reports at beginning and end of shifts
• Documents care by means of electronic medical records software
• Takes vital signs, weights, measuring intake and output
• Assists with feeding residents and transports and escorts residents to and from activities
• Performs transfers, lifting and positioning of residents to/from and in bed, chair, wheelchair and assists residents with the use of walkers, wheelchairs and canes
• Complies with all HIPAA regulations and requirements

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and completion of Nursing Assistant Certification program.

Certificates/License/Registrations: Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in Washington state Required.

Additional Certificates/License/Registrations for Assisted Living Nursing Assistants: Current CPR training, Food Worker Card, and Dementia/Mental Health and Fundamentals of Care-giving credentials must be obtained within 30 days of employment
