The Assisted Living Unit Manager coordinates the quality of care/life to residents within the Boarding Home, and provides an environment where residents can maintain their independence for as long as possible. With general oversight from the Director of Nursing Services (DNS), s/he is responsible on a day-to-day basis for the planning, implementation, evaluation, and continual improvement of all the services provided within the ALU. S/he serves as the primary liaison among residents, families, physicians, consultants, ancillary care providers, and staff, and shares with the Chief Executive Officer and DNS the responsibility of communicating with government officials and a variety of business contacts. S/he promotes and markets services provided. S/he has a significant role in budget development and compliance for the ALU programs. Assists CEO and Executive Leadership in creating an expanded vision for BRC’s Assisted Living program to promote the highest level of care and quality of life for our residents, and to develop and implement strategies to execute this vision.

Qualifications Required:

Must have an active LPN license
2-3 year of supervisory and management experience preferably in Assisted Living/Memory Care and or experience with activity program design and evaluation.
Must have knowledge of Assisted Living regulations and their interpretation. Mental Health and Dementia education certifications or willingness to obtain certifications within 120 days.
Demonstration of progressive approaches to supporting and enhancing the quality of life for seniors with cognitive impairment.
Must demonstrate knowledge of geriatric population and the aging process; including the physical, psychological and social needs of the elderly.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
Good organizational and time management skills.
