Assistant Living Manager

JOB SUMMARY
The Assisted Living Manager is responsible for the overall operation of Wesley’s Assisted Living program in compliance with the State regulations governing Boarding Homes in the State of Washington. This position will require supervision of licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants, some are serving as Medication Assistant Certified (MA-C), all are directly responsible in the provision of care to AL residents. The Assisted Living Manager ensures the AL program emphasizes a social model, which is focused more on resident engagement while managing personal and clinical care. As the department manager, this person is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of all state required paperwork and reporting.

This individual promotes harmonious relationships among nursing personnel, residents, families, and other disciplines, and keeps the Executive Director apprised of major challenges occurring in Assisted Living while enforcing policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education Background
Current RN License is Washington State
Nurse Delegator Certificate
Licensure, Registration, Certification
Boarding Home Administration License – WA State
Mental Health and Dementia Certifications
First Aid/CPR Certification
Special Training/Skills
Knowledge of WA State nurse practice laws and federal regulations governing Assisted Living facilities.
Strong communication and problem resolutions skills.
Demonstrated leadership, public relations, and supervisory skills.
Work Experience
4 years of prior Assistant Living experience required.
2+ years of supervisor experience.
Physical Demands
Ability to walk, bend, stoop and squat on a regular basis to provide resident care and assessment.
Must be able to sit for long period of time for charting, phone use, and computer use.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and push/pull medication cart.
