We are a non-profit, independent senior living facility looking for a part-to full time Activity Coordinator to join our team. The Activity Coordinator position is responsible for providing an ongoing program of activities designed to meet the interests and the physical, emotional, social, creative and spiritual well-being of the residents of Hilltop House. We are looking for a team member with an outgoing personality, who is organized, creative and has a strong work ethic that will provide service to residents with friendliness and patience.

This non-exempt hourly position starts as part-time and will expand to full-time within the first six months. Schedule flexibility is desired, permitting some flex time and evening/weekend work as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Creates a monthly calendar of activities appropriate to the needs and interests of the residents that includes, but is not limited to: group social activities, offsite field trips, spiritual/religious programs, creative activities such as arts and crafts, music, drama, gardening and educational programs.

•Generate flyers for promotion throughout the facility and on the website.

•Work with the Service Coordinator to maximize the benefits of our volunteer program.

•Coordinates special events and encourage resident participation in activities.

•Facilitate the monthly resident planning meeting and schedule selected activities.

•Foster family and community support of the activity program (e.g. through newsletters, website and networking)

QUALIFICATIONS

•Minimum educational requirements include a high school diploma.
•A certified activities professional preferred.
•Two years of experience (preferred) in a social or recreational program designed for older adults
•Must pass background check.
•Must have a valid Washington State food handler’s permit.
•WA driver’s license and clean driving record.
