Staff Competency Toolkit for RoP Phase 3

Staff Competency Toolkit for RoP Phase 3

The Staff Competency Toolkit from LeadingAge National is available to help with your training needs for RoP Phase 3.

Your training plan needs to be based on your facility wide assessment, surveyors will be looking at your competency training as of November 28th, 2019.  This is not the start date for your training plan, it is expected that you will have already been working on this training!

LeadingAge is excited to announce that the Staff Competency Toolkit© is now available to members! This toolkit contains 25 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) areas to be used with staff across disciplines, from front-line staff to management, from nursing to social services, activities, food and nutrition services and beyond.

Section 1 of the toolkit provides insight into the staff competency requirements, leadership implementation strategies, tools, and resources. Section 2 includes the 25 targeted KSA areas and each KSA area contains general information on the KSA competency, a leadership overview and guide, a facility implementation guide and checklist, competency tools based on the specific KSA requirement, a training plan, a competency test and answer key, an educational powerpoint that includes trainer’s notes, and references and resources.
