Provider members today met virtually with members of the Washington congressional delegation to share stories and ask for help from the federal government.  Staff from the offices of Senators Cantwell and Murray, as well as Representatives Larsen, Smith, Jayapal, McMorris Rodgers, DelBene, Schrier, Strickland, and Kilmer offered their support for member priorities.  Representatives Schrier and Kilmer personally joined the video calls to express their support and thanks for the work you all do, particularly the battle waged against the virus!  Topics covered included funding for skilled nursing, assisted living and adult day, the need to address housing and HCBS expansion, LTC workforce, immigration, and training.  Members of Congress showed great interest and expressed support for many of the issues that face members.  All offices expressed appreciation to members for their hard work over the past year while dealing with the pandemic.  Thank you to all members, particularly Jay Woolford, Jen Drake, Kevin McFeely, Julia Shi, Mylene Arboleda and Colleen Wojciechowski, who persuasively advocated for seniors by sharing real-life experiences!
