Important Update Regarding Nursing Assistant License Fees
The Department of Health (department) anticipates filing rules to increase fees for several health professions. These fee increases are necessary to meet the requirement in law for all health professions to be self-supporting, which includes preventing and correcting budget deficits, and maintaining reserves to cover unexpected program costs.
As part of this process, the department has developed specific cost information for each profession impacted. We are also providing an opportunity for licensees to participate in a workshop/webinar to share this information and the anticipated fee increase. This workshop will be held before we file proposed fee rules. You will still have the opportunity to provide comment on the proposed fee amount during the rules process (see timeline below). The overview of costs specific to the Nursing Assistant program is linked Here The anticipated increased fee for initial application is $85 and $95 for renewal an increase of 33% over the current $65 application and $70 renewal fee.
