Advocacy Action Center

Advocacy Action Center

We are pleased to introduce our new Advocacy Action Center!  Many times, the most effective form of advocacy is letters to the governor, legislators, our congressional delegation, and other government officials.  While this may seem time consuming and challenging, we have taken steps to make it easy and simple.  On our website under News & Events, on the Advocacy page, you will find an Action Center.  This Action Center will house our advocacy efforts that could use your help.  Currently we are urging the State to restore COVID-19 add-ons to long-term care providers and to reopen swimming pools in long-term care facilities and communities.

Our voice is stronger together and we appreciate your involvement. We also encourage you to share these efforts with anyone that may be interested.  This could include staff, residents, family members, or anyone else in your network who wants to make a difference in aging services.

When you click on one of these actions it asks for your name, email address, and physical address.  Once you enter this information, it will show you who will receive the advocacy message.  Your physical address is used to determine which state legislators or members of Congress represent you.  Your email address is used so that the recipients of your message can reach out to you.  Please know that we will never use your email address for any purpose other than advocacy.

We look forward to your help in engaging our State leadership in advocating to make aging services better in the State of Washington!
