QAPI Interactive Workshop

This one-day workshop will provide the participants an opportunity to learn the five elements of the QAPI process. We will explore strategies and attendees will participate in simulated QAPI projects. The projects will include ways to get all departments involved in QAPI. The day is interactive and will provide necessary education, tools, and resources for participants to learn the skills to implement QAPI in their organizations. 

Objectives:

• Describe all five elements of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement
• Understand how to implement QAPI by participating in case studies
• Demonstrate the skills to educate and include all departments in a QAPI project
• Identify creative QAPI topics that would be meaningful for each participants organization   

Trainer:

Leah M. Killian-Smith, BA, NHA, RHIA, Director of Quality Assurance & Government Services for Pathway Health .  She has 25+ years of expertise which includes leadership positions in several different settings including stand-alone Long Term Care and Campus settings.  She is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, Health Services Executive, Certified Housing Manager, and registered Health Information Administrator.
